Train Illustrations

This project brings together two train illustrations inspired by familiar Japanese scenes: the Toyoko Line leaving Jiyugaoka Station, and a seaside train imagined from places such as Enoshima and Shimonada.

I have always loved the way trains become part of the landscape, whether they are crossing a neighbourhood or running close to the sea. These illustrations capture that small sense of movement, memory, and everyday travel.
