Tokyo Street Icons

This project brings together illustrations of familiar Tokyo street icons: the Yamato Kuroneko delivery truck, with its distinctive shape and charming cat-and-kitten logo, and the vending machines that seem to appear on almost every street corner.

I wanted to draw these everyday objects because they are so present in the city’s visual landscape. Practical, ordinary, and easy to overlook, they still carry a very recognisable Tokyo feeling.
